Debtors
Why has my account been handed over to NRB Risk Solutions?
The organisation you are in debt to has transferred your account to NRB Risk Solutions. We are an external debt collection agency responsible for helping you settle your accounts and avoid legal action or blacklisting.
How do I pay my account?
You will be assigned a consultant that will engage with you. The consultant will advise you on payment options. This involves helping you monitor your account and maintaining communication with you to ensure that your outstanding debt is reduced.
How do I settle my account?
You can engage with your consultants to make a settlement arrangement. In some cases creditors do offer settlement discounts.
What is an emolument attachment order and what is a Section 58?
In some cases, creditors might choose to take legal action against non paying debtors. This involves the signing of a Section 58 of the Magistrates Court Act (Act 32 of 1944). This allows debtors to sign consent to judgment in cases where the debtor acknowledges that he or she owes money the creditor. With the consent of the debtor and their employer an emolument attachment can be arranged. This involves a direct deduction from a debtor’s salary.

How do you collect the debt, and how do I get paid?
Our industry is regulated by the Debt Collectors Act. We do “soft collections” which involve enrichment of debtor data, contacting debtors and making payment arrangements. Weekly or monthly pay overs can be conducted to transfer payments to your account on request.
